Hi Ruijing,
I agree that the tenant based custom settings and mac filter setting can be dropped since the port security extension supports equivalent functionality for ovs-dpdk.

Regards, Matt

Subject: Questions about custom setting and mac filter

Hi, Ian,

We are investigating tenant based custom setting and mac filter (d875491, c647127, b189392e, 28d6f56).
The custom settings extension feature(d875491) is to allow the admin to manage settings on a per tenant basis.
Currently only mac filtering is available as a settable value.
Mac filter is alternative implementation of neutron port security.
28d6f56 is to enable the Neutron port security extension for ML2 plugin.
by default, it overrides the existing mac filtering functionality.
We can drop tenant based customer setting and mac filter features and ONLY support neutron port security with OVSDPDK.
What do you think?

Thanks,
-Ruijing
