Hello StarlingX QAT team,

Today I have finished the QAT test execution. You can see the results here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15us6HWgcb0dmHHZe2SyOR_UI5BvVpoU8TCST0rQd4zg/edit#gid=84126711

About the QATzip library, it has been done successfully. This test has taken specially some amount of time, because of a lot of steps that needs to be done: A customized CentOS image with the QAT driver and the QATZip library inside).

Here some part of the output about such tests:

Hello StarlingX guys,

Finally, with the help from Cindy¡¯s Team and Neusoft Team, finally we are able to have the QAT (PCIe card version) up a and running.

Here you can see a quick console output where you can see the QAT device, seen in a VM launched in a guest with the described hardware passed to the VM via pci_passtrough flavor property.

controller-0:~# sudo virsh list
Id Name State

How do I know that 37c9 is the QAT device ? Using the following command:

controller-0:~$ sudo lspci | grep Co-processor
Password:
3d:00.0 Co-processor: Intel Corporation C62x Chipset QuickAssist Technology (rev 04)
3d:01.0 Co-processor: Intel Corporation Device 37c9 (rev 04)

So far, this is the current status for QAT Feature testing execution

Test Cases Total: 12
Passed: 9
Failed: 0 :)
N/A: 1 --- > This doesn¡¯t apply for Simplex configuration (where I¡¯m actually running the tests)
Not Executed: 1 --- > Related to Rest API (we are still working on the steps for this one)
In Progress 1: Related to made use of the QATZlib library

So tomorrow I¡¯ll continue working on the QATZlib, and the rest api, however this last one is marked as priority 2.

If you require further details about the QAT test progress, please go to:

Hi Zhao,

I have tried both ISOs in the current WolfPass Server using the external PCIe QAT device.

However I¡¯m still hitting the same error after setting up the pci_passthorugh property in the flavor and trying to launch a VM using such flavor.

I¡¯m just finishing the installation of StarlingX in a server with an embedded QAT device. As soon as I finished I¡¯ll let you know the results.

Thanks in advance

Hello guys,

I¡¯m following all your steps using the provided files and here is the status:
¡¤ ISO installation + provided helm charts ¨C success
¡¤ Nova overrides using provided yaml file ¨C failing
So I would like to have a live session to show you the errors and see what is still missing from my side.

P.S. You can forward this meeting to required people also.

Thanks
-Ricardo
