+1 to Saul.  I agree that clamping the version is not the correct approach.  We should bite the bullet and fix the issues as they are found.

Are we sure we want to clamp the version, don't we want to file LP or stories against the pylint issues and fix them and then release the clamp?

Maybe we need a general pylint story?

I think that we should be keeping up with pylint as it can find real issues.
