Server models supported through Redfish install
by jimmy.mccrory＠gmail.com 09 Oct '26

09 Oct '26

Hello, I recently ran into issues while following the documentation for bootstrapping subclouds using Redfish [0]. It seems there's some inconsistencies between each hardware vendor's BMC implementations which are not handled by the provisioning script. I filed a bug [1] with details of the specific server models that failed for me. And it looks there was another recent related bug with a merged fix to add support for Dell PowerEdge R670 [2]. Is there a list or matrix of known supported/unsupported server models? Happy to start contributing to help improve this process. Thanks [0] https://docs.starlingx.io/dist_cloud/kubernetes/installing-a-subcloud-using… [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/2166218 [2] https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/distcloud/+/996331
