The setup for running this image is the same as for previous images. I've executed the previous image 20200516 and it worked, then I retried the image 20200520 and it failed again on baremetal. Can you also describe how you're doing the installation? On a network install, "/dev/root does not exist" usually means dracut was unable to download the squashfs.img file at the expected location under the inst.repo URL specified. That could mean that the boot server is not setup properly, or it could also mean the installer kernel doesn't have the support for the NIC. So you could also check logs on the boot server to see if the request for squashfs.img was received, and whether there was a failure trying to serve it. -----Original Message----- From: Saul Wold [mailto:sgw@linux.intel.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 20, 2020 2:57 PM To: starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io Subject: Re: [Starlingx-discuss] Sanity Master Test LAYERED build ISO 20200520 Can you confirm if this was just bare metal or also virtual? You might want to save "/run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt" to a USB stick or /boot
after mounting them and attach it to a bug report.
