Thanks for the info Martin! I will add deprecating the old wiki pages found in search to the maintenance task list. Thanks for the link, I will use that one and see how I get on. |\/|artin From: "Dale, Kristal" <kristal.dale@intel.com<mailto:kristal.dale@intel.com>> Date: Friday, 7 February 2020 at 22:38 To: Martin Ward <mward@akamai.com<mailto:mward@akamai.com>>, "starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io<mailto:starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io>" <starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io<mailto:starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io>> Subject: RE: [Starlingx-discuss] Invalid password for ldapadmin user during simplex installation Hi Martin, Where did you find the link to these instructions? I’ve got the basic Simplex VM created, up and running, it’s when I run the Ansible scripts that it fails and logs the error: 2020-01-30T16:19:48.122 Error: 2020-01-30 16:19:48 +0000 ldapadd -D cn=ldapadmin,dc=cgcs,dc=local -w f62083c68b43Ti0* -f /etc/openldap/initial_config.ldif returned 49 instead of one of [0] 2020-01-30T16:19:48.258 Error: 2020-01-30 16:19:48 +0000 /Stage[main]/Platform::Ldap::Bootstrap/Exec[populate initial ldap configuration]/returns: change from notrun to 0 failed: ldapadd -D cn=ldapadmin,dc=cgcs,dc=local -w f62083c68b43Ti0* -f /etc/openldap/initial_config.ldif returned 49 instead of one of [0] 2020-01-30T16:21:54.301 Error: 2020-01-30 16:21:54 +0000 /Stage[main]/Platform::Drbd::Etcd::Bootstrap/Platform::Drbd::Filesystem[drbd-etcd]/Drbd::Resource[drbd-etcd]/Drbd::Resource::Enable[drbd-etcd]/Drbd::Resource::Up[drbd-etcd]/Mount[/opt/etcd]: Could not evaluate: Execution of '/usr/bin/mount /opt/etcd' returned 32: mount: /dev/drbd7 is write-protected, mounting read-only When I run the ldapadd command myself it fails with: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) I’ve not configured any ldap password anywhere so I guess that the ldapadmin password is auto-generated, but the fact that it’s not working is cause for concern. I’ve looked through the log file for any clues but everything prior to the above command has worked fine no errors or warnings. I am at a loss, any pointers would be appreciated. |\\/|artin -- Martin Ward Technical Support Engineer.Senior Group: Carrier Support Ext: 29745
