For the sm.log (/var/log/sm.log), it seems service process fail to run, and lead to sm think system is in unhealthy state, and try to reboot system to recover.
It should be reboot, but not sure why it is shutdown in your environment and also auth.log shows “systemd-logind[893]: info Power key pressed./info Powering Off...”
In the sm.log, I also see the network adapter is up/down randomly. It may be the cause of the service process failure.
I also find VF Ethernet is enabled in the system also.
To isolate the issue cause, could you help try to disable the VF Ethernet in BIOS, and use PF Ethernet only?
Thanks.

Is it virtual machine or bare-metal system?
Is it a provisioned system? And what is the system configuration, simplex/duplex or multi node?
StarlingX itself will not do auto-shutdown, but it may auto-reboot if there is critical error.
Most of StarlingX’s log is at /var/log folder.
You could run “collect” cmd in your fail system after the issue occur, and upload the generated logfile to somewhere others could access.
Then I will have a check with it.
