Hi Takeo,

The error code “-13” means “E1000_ERR_SWFW_SYNC”.

Does the server work with other STX or CentOS previous?

The igb driver is part of CentOS kernel driver, which is 3.10.0-957.12.2 for STX 2.0.

Best Regards

Shuicheng

Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] Failed to load igb driver with error 13 for I350

I tried to intall STX 2.0 load to Intel IronPass server ( IvyBridge ).

During kernel boot,  kernel shows following message.

2019-09-14T13:50:46.273 localhost kernel: info [    4.341203] igb: Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Network Driver - version 5.4.0-k

2019-09-14T13:50:46.273 localhost kernel: info [    4.341327] igb: Copyright (c) 2007-2014 Intel Corporation.

2019-09-14T13:50:46.274 localhost kernel: warning [    4.782342] igb: probe of 0000:09:00.0 failed with error -13

2019-09-14T13:50:46.275 localhost kernel: warning [    5.791676] igb: probe of 0000:09:00.2 failed with error -13

2019-09-14T13:50:46.275 localhost kernel: warning [    6.270393] igb: probe of 0000:09:00.3 failed with error -13

And it failed to create Ethernet interface.

IronPass has on-board I350 Quad port NIC and issue occurred there.

I also tried to install image to Wildcat Pass server ( Haswell ) , which also have I350 NIC, and everything went well.

Does anyone similar issue?
