Hi StarlingX Community, I’m reaching out to you with an update from today’s mission statement workshop that we had during the marketing team call today. The group who participated in today’s discussion, came up with the following proposal for a revised mission statement: "Solve the operational problem of deploying and managing high-performance, distributed cloud infrastructure at scale." We decided to keep close to the current statement since the community’s focus is still on making it easier to deploy and manage distributed infrastructure on a large scale, which we felt important to highlight. For further notes about the discussions please see the following etherpad: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/r.b99c5952acde86556a7164d870c08971 The new mission statement is not final yet, we would like to have feedback from the community before putting a new one in place! Please share your feedback about the above proposal on this thread __by the end of next Friday (December 16)__! Please let me know if you have any questions. Hi StarlingX Community,
I’m reaching out to you with a short update about the mission statement discussion.
Unfortunately we didn’t hit critical mass on the call that was scheduled for yesterday due to some last minute conflicts that folks had. We decided to use the regular Marketing team meeting as a follow-up workshop to continue the discussion about refreshing the project’s mission statement.
I would like to invite and encourage everyone who would like to participate to join.
The call is scheduled for December 06 at noon PST / 2000 UTC.

Please let me know if you would like me to add you to the meeting invite.

Hi StarlingX Community,
As a follow up to the PTG the StarlingX Marketing team started to work on proposals to update the project’s mission statement.
The team would like to ask the community for input so we can have a more guided activity and better fitting results. The questions we raised during the Marketing meeting yesterday: * What will be the community’s priorities for the short to mid-term future, meaning the next 1-3 years? * What is the community’s vision with regards to challenges that the StarlingX platform is developed and shaped to solve and address?
To ensure progress the Marketing team set up an ad-hoc meeting time for Monday (November 14) at 11am US Pacific Time, to have a workshop and work on options. Anyone who is interested in participating in that conversation please join us on the call!
