Yes ldapusersetup is our addition to ldapscripts as one more helper utility. It's using other scripts in the ldapscripts package. ldapusersetup together with the original scripts in ldapscripts package are all wrappers of the utilities provided by openldap-clients. So we could move it to a separate package. Or, we could push to ldapscripts upstream as a nice addition. Andy On 2018-10-24 01:20 PM, Eslimi, Dariush wrote:
Saul,
The script is helper script for end users, you can move it.

Dariush, Shuichen:
As I was reviewing the lshell removal patch I saw that it is changes the way a new script (ldapusersetup) is added to ldapscripts. I started to dig deeper to see what uses the the ldapusersetup script. The ldapusersetup appears to be a convenience script that could be moved to either a standalone package for StarlingX or if we have an existing package for such scripts.
I don't see this script actually being used by any other tools, so does it have documented usage somewhere?
