Hi Scott, Davlet and the StarlingX community,

As you know, I’m working on the Arm enablement, and I need to set the Debian snapshot to the URL form debian.org

since the mirror on CENGN doesn’t support Arm yet, but if I set it with “stx config” like:

stx config --add project.debian_snapshot_base http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian

stx config --add project.debian_security_snapshot_base http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security

It will always re-set the options back to the CENGN URLs:

Restarting pods

STX-Control - WARNING: The helm release prj-stx-deb does not exist - nothing to do

STX-Config-Parser - WARNING: /build2/jhuang0/2023_stx_builds/ws-stx-arm64-20231018/src/stx-tools/stx.conf: setting option project.debian_snapshot_base to http://mirror.starlingx.cengn.ca/mirror/debian/debian/snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian

STX-Config-Parser - WARNING: /build2/jhuang0/2023_stx_builds/ws-stx-arm64-20231018/src/stx-tools/stx.conf: setting option project.debian_security_snapshot_base to http://mirror.starlingx.cengn.ca/mirror/debian/debian/snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security

STX-Config-Parser - WARNING: One or more configuration keeys have been upgraded

STX-Config-Parser - WARNING: These changes will take effect after you restart your builder containers

It’s really bothering me and even I can set the env in the builder pod, it’s slow to directly use the debian snapshot,

So, may I request the CENGN mirror to sync-up the Debian snapshot with Arm support now? Thanks!

Thanks,

Jackie
