Hi Ghada,

Thanks for the advice. I just created the bug, but I don’t have the permission to assign it to other members.

Thanks,

Subject: RE: [Starlingx-discuss] Meet issue with 2.0 installation guide for baremetal

Hi Cheng,

My suggestion is to open a Launchpad so that it’s assigned to the doc team to address and re-post the documentation.

Thanks,

Ghada

Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] Meet issue with 2.0 installation guide for baremetal

Hi,

I am installation the starlingx AIO-duplex on baremetals by following the 2.0 guide[1] and with the ISO build on Sep 2[2].

I notice the following lines in the guide as well as in the AIO-simplex guide. My understanding is that we should select “All-in-one Controller Configuration” instead of “Standard Controller Configuration” for AIO-simple and AIO-duplex deployment. So is this a mistake of the guide? Thanks

Make the following menu selections in the installer:

  1. First menu: Select ‘Standard Controller Configuration’
  2. Second menu: Select ‘Graphical Console’ or ‘Textual Console’ depending on your terminal access to the console port
  3. Third menu: Select ‘Standard Security Profile’
