We have never tried installing on AWS Bare Metal Server. We have deployed on Equinix bare metal servers (formerly packet.com) ... https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StarlingX/Packet_SIG ( this was quite some time ago ) I am not that familiar with AWS Bare Metal Server capabilities, but from experience in deploying StarlingX on packet.com/equinix, some key requirements on 'AWS Bare Metal Server' in order to be able to deploy StarlingX would be: - ability to configure L2 networks between AWS Bare Metal Servers, - ability to do a full ISO install of StarlingX (kernel, user-space, starlingx services) on initial AWS Bare Metal Server e.g. a PXE Boot install I would be interested in knowing if L2 networks are supported on AWS Bare Metal Servers ... let me know.
