Thanks Shuquan for the update. Yes, we are very pleased to see that new partners to play more role in the community.

One more thing is that China Mobile team has sent 5 people there for OpenStack and StarlingX.  They would like to contribute from user perspective as well.

Subject: Re: [Starlingx-discuss] Hackathon update and Fiberhome questions

StarlingX is the Top 2 project with 26 registers.(Top 1 is OpenStack.) We have developers/users from China Mobile, China Unicom, Fiberhome, Intel, Huawei, 99Cloud, ZTE. The StarlingX team submitted 22 bugfix and 3 bp. For further information, please refer to https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/OpenSource-Hackathon-9-Shenzhen.

Besides coding and hacking, we also discussed about the use case and community building. After talking with Ildiko from OSF, We planed to set up a regular meeting for China users for requirements collection and publish some white papers about the best practices in China.

There was a very productive hack-a-thon in China last week, led by Wei and Shuquan.   Can you please share an update on the event with the community?

There were attendees from Fiberhome (on cc:)  that have follow-on questions about the project.   I’ve posted them to an etherpad [0].  Most of the questions are related to the Containerization changes – if folks from that team can help answer them, that would be amazing.

Thank you!
