Hi Starlingx Community, I just received an email from Docker that StarlingX’s application to remain supported through the Docker OSS Sponsored Program is now approved. I also checked the ’starlingx’ organization on DockerHub and I can see the ’Sponsored OSS’ program tag on it again now. Please let me know if you still experience any issues on DockerHub despite this. I’m still confirming the exact expiry date, but we should be covered for another year overall. Hi Starlingx Community,
I’m reaching out to you with a brief update about StarlingX’s participation in the Docker OSS Sponsored Program.
Those of you who are added as owners/admins of the project in Docker have probably already seen some updates from Docker. The background to this is that they provide their sponsorship program to open source projects on a yearly basis, it has to be renewed periodically.
Actions that have been taken so far:
- August 12: I applied to the sponsorship program on the Docker website on behalf of StarlingX, and received an automated confirmation email that they received our request. - August 28: I received an email from Docker stating that our subscription is about to expire. I emailed them back with a note that we already applied again, and asked for another confirmation that they have our application. I haven’t received any email response yet. - September 1: I received an email about the cancellation of our subscription. I emailed Docker again.
I will keep contacting Docker until I hear back from them. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments in the meantime.
Best Regards, Ildikó
