[Starlingx-discuss] Combined PL/TL/TSC Election Season
Hi StarlingX Community, The second election season is starting in just a bit over a month from now. This email contains important information about the elections, please read carefully. For all the details on the elections please visit: https://docs.starlingx.io/election/ The nomination period officially begins on __October 6, 2019, 20:45 UTC__. Please read the stipulations and timelines for candidates and electorate contained in the above governance documentation. IMPORTANT CHANGE: differently from the previous elections if you would like to run for any open position you need to register as an OpenStack Foundation individual member prior to when the nomination period starts. Also please note that you are required to confirm your preferred email address in Gerrit by __September 20, 2019 00:00 UTC__ as described here: https://docs.starlingx.io/election/#electorate to make sure ballots are sent out to the correct addresses. As decided by the TSC group and the election officials the 2019, H2 PL/TL and TSC elections will run concurrently; deadlines for their nomination and voting activities are synchronized but will still use separate ballots. Please note, if only one candidate is nominated as PL or TL for a project team during the PL/TL nomination period, that candidate will win by acclaim, and there will be no poll. There will only be a poll if there is more than one candidate stepping forward for a project team's PL or TL position. There will be further announcements posted to the mailing list as action is required from the electorate or candidates. This email is for information purposes only. To register as a Foundation individual member, log into opendev.org and go to your profile. You should see a button in the upper right to "Register as a Foundation Member".
