Agenda & Notes for 7/3 meeting: - stx 3.0 features proposal review (all) - Redfish support (https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2005861), Eric/Zhipeng, spec is already uploaded and ready for review. Encourge folks to review it. Gating for 3.0 - Python2to3 transition (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StarlingX/Python2, story: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2006158), Austin, Gating for 3.0 Austin update: analyzed 2.0 ISO and found there are still ~300 RPM packages has Python code, out of ~1100 packages. so seems like only 88 rpms needs some action (upgrade or replacement or more analysis). Saul: suggest only focus on those RPMs used by flocks instead of whole system. Is it feasible to get CentOS 7.6 python3 clean? Clarification of goal: shall we figure out the Python3 solution for CentOS 7.6 (instead of CentOS 8)? Brent question: the packages not Python3 compliant, need analysis for where they come from and how they are used in STX? analysis: https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/1808073/+attachment/5274592/+files... - non-Openstack patch cleanup (remaining SB to be reviewed), defer this to 4.0 - Ceph containerization (https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2005527) Tingjie spec updated: https://review.opendev.org/#/c/656371/8/specs/2019.03/approved/containerizat..., effort and task break down is WIP. We can review the spec and workload next week. no Ceph upgrade will be required before Ceph containerization story merged into STX. - Support Kata container (https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2006145), Shuicheng Evaluating Kata container enabling in STX and will report out to the team next week. Some issues in K8s for integration. Spec will be required. Shall be in 4.0 scope. - QAT support in Cinder & Glance Vivian - will track it in OpenStack sub-project. - systemd standardization (Story to be created). Saul/Marcela. 19 new OpenSuse out of ~50 packages, the systemd has warnings. Looking at what needs to be done for those 19 and will create SB and tasks for build/installation/validation etc. Can start for 3.0 but a gating feature. - Ceph test status report (Abraham/Fernando) test status tracking: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15us6HWgcb0dmHHZe2SyOR_UI5BvVpoU8TCST... 22 out of 26 tests are passing. - stx 2.0 bug triage and review (Tingjie/Ovidiu/Daniel/Martin, Alex/Bin) 1831635: incomplete and waiting for log.
