[Starlingx-discuss] create a new project for ceph containerizaiton
Hi scott As last week sync with brent, we will create a new application for ceph containeration. Could you help to create this new git project for me? Thanks! Martin, Chen IOTG, Software Engineer 021-61164330
Yes, I can help with that. I can't create the new git myself, but can help with the process of submitting the request to the opendev admins First we'll need 1) unique and descriptive name for the new git. 2) A description of the project for the comment section. A sentence or two. 3) The url and branch of any upstream git used to seed the content for the new git. 4) is this a python project that needs to publish to PYPI ? Scott PS: The process is described out here [1] [1] https://docs.openstack.org/infra/manual/creators.html On 2020-03-09 10:26 a.m., Chen, Haochuan Z wrote:

Alternatively, if you want to start with an empty repository and propose all the source additions to it via code review from the very beginning, you can just leave out the "upstream" parameter and the project creation automation will do a simple `git init` and commit a properly-formatted .gitreview file into the master branch for you. -- Jeremy Stanley

Hi scott I find a new project created with this link https://opendev.org/starlingx/rook-ceph But this is the link we usually used to submit patch for review. https://review.opendev.org/starlingx/root we need any other step? You need to request a new group called starlingx-rook-ceph via the Infra channel (#openstack-infra) and then you need to submit the initial review with the .gitreview template. Did you review the Project Creator's Guide [0]? Sau! [0] https://docs.opendev.org/opendev/infra-manual/latest/creators.html On 3/31/20 6:28 AM, Chen, Haochuan Z wrote:

Looks like the new opendev infrastructure to process the new repo request didn't work as expected. They are looking into it. FYI, their IRC location has moved from #openstack-infra to #opendev . Scott On 2020-03-31 9:28 a.m., Chen, Haochuan Z wrote:

Yes, we merged a change roughly 19 hours ago which broke an untested code path in our project creation automation, so we didn't notice we'd stopped provisioning anything in Gerrit. We've manually processed the pending project creations for changes which merged in that timeframe (including yours) so you should be all set now, and the proper fix to our tooling is on its way to merging now as well. Just let us know what initial member you want added to which groups and we can take care of that, and thanks for giving us a heads up. -- Jeremy Stanley
Are new repos are ready to clone. Git review should work, but we need a list of core reviewers for each. I'd like to see a zuul config for each, but I'll leave that to the project leads. Scott On 2020-03-31 10:41 a.m., Scott Little wrote:
