[Starlingx-discuss] Creating flavor fails
I am trying to create a cirros flavor via the following command openstack flavor create --ram 2048 --disk 20 --vcpus 1 --public --id auto f1.small And get the following error: internal endpoint for compute service in RegionOne region not found I see that I have a RegionOne via system show: [sysadmin@controller-0 ~(keystone_admin)]$ system show +----------------------+--------------------------------------+ | Property | Value | +----------------------+--------------------------------------+ | contact | None | | created_at | 2019-09-13T21:59:57.146797+00:00 | | description | None | | https_enabled | False | | location | None | | name | 31e1efb6-4530-45c7-a30f-e2877b71ce13 | | region_name | RegionOne | | sdn_enabled | False | | security_feature | spectre_meltdown_v1 | | service_project_name | services | | software_version | 19.09 | | system_mode | simplex | | system_type | All-in-one | | timezone | UTC | | updated_at | 2019-09-13T22:01:03.439769+00:00 | | uuid | 33bf1607-88c7-4cc2-bab0-e265b59f522e | | vswitch_type | none | +----------------------+--------------------------------------+ [sysadmin@controller-0 ~(keystone_admin)]$ What else could be missing? What endpoints do you have for Compute in your service catalog? Check with: openstack catalog show compute I am not sure why it is trying to use an internal endpoint there, that may not be accessible depending on where you run that command. dt -- Dean Troyer dtroyer@gmail.com

Well, seems I have no compute services! "service compute not found" I have set this up as an AIO-Simplex, the ansible playbook completed correctly and I followed up with the slew of commands to provision and unlock the controller-0 node.

Hi Saul: I think your env is still in platform keystone env, not Openstack keystone env yet. 1) could you check 'system application-list' if stx-openstack application has been applied ? 2) check "/etc/openstack/clouds.yaml" existing or not ? 3) if 1) and 2) are ok, you can 'sudo su' to switch root user , 'export OS_CLOUD=openstack_helm", and 'openstack flavor list' or create flavor. Thanks.
