Re: Container images in the starlingx/test repo
Hi Roy, Thank you for the quick response. I'm copying the ML so we can share the information with the community as well. The StarlingX community currently has access to DockerHub through a Sponsored OSS program, which removes rate limits and allows open source projects to utilize that registry. You can find the StarlingX project and current repos here: https://hub.docker.com/u/starlingx I hope this helps. Our container images don't change very often and we wanted to store everything in the repo for ease of use, but it looks like we are needing more and more images and that this solution won't scale too well.
We should move to use the mirror/registry to store the images for test as well. Do you have more information about which registry is used and how we can upload our required images there? Otherwise, I can poke around at a few people to see what they know about the registry.
Thanks, Christian

Hi StarlingX community,
I'm reaching out about the starlingx/test repo again, in a different context this time.
OpenDev folks reached out to me about it recently, as they were doing Gerrit maintenance work and noticed that the repo seems to be used to stash container images in it. It seemed odd to them, since container images should be regularly updated. However, the main reason they png me was to note that git handles opaque binary data very poorly and it leads to git repos, which don't perform well.
If I remember correctly, the community is using a mirror/registry to store builds and images. Is that possible to use that for test as well?
Thanks and Best Regards, Ildikó
