[Starlingx-discuss] adding packages to running bare metal duplex
Hi, i have a need to add a few packages to a running bare metal duplex, one being a kernel module i dont see where you can "dnf install" anything based on the repos configuration, and i dont want to blow up the cluster, any ideas or pointers ???
StarlingX doesn't support installing packages directly with dnf or rpm commands. You would need to do this by generating a StarlingX patch and applying it to the system as described here: https://docs.starlingx.io/developer_resources/starlingx_patching.html Bart -----Original Message----- From: Embedded Devel <lists@optimcloud.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2021 7:12 AM To: Starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] adding packages to running bare metal duplex [Please note: This e-mail is from an EXTERNAL e-mail address] Hi, i have a need to add a few packages to a running bare metal duplex, one being a kernel module i dont see where you can "dnf install" anything based on the repos configuration, and i dont want to blow up the cluster, any ideas or pointers ??? _______________________________________________ Starlingx-discuss mailing list Starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io http://lists.starlingx.io/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/starlingx-discuss
