[Starlingx-discuss] Startling - X setup/usage
Hi, Looking for some information about a possible setup of Startling-X. Here's what I'm trying to achieve: I have multiple edge devices, all x86, all running WindRiver Linux, applications are deployed using k8s to the edge devices (cellular base stations). Each device has a 'personality' and will need to spinup a different pod based on the personality. I thought about using the private docker registry from a Starling-X server to publish my images and use the k8s master to actually run the pods using daemonsets. Does my use case matches with the Starling-X offer? Would my edge devices be considered as 'worker nodes'? Also, why is there a 100 worker limits in Starling-X? Regards, Marc
Hi Marc, we are looking at ‘smaller node support’ in our next release (Release 5). This is a topic at our upcoming Virtual PTG [0] – you’re more than welcome to join if you’d like to discuss there.
