[Starlingx-discuss] Missing "Lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm" Package Re: Starlingx-discuss Digest, Vol 6, Issue 3
Hi Team, I would like to get some advice for mirror:Source/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm , We are from Thailand, Bangkok, trying to build starlingx ISO image on Supermicro Server, [4SSDx1TB, 256Gb Ram, 4x10GE], follow everything on document step but missing "lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm', , It download from mirror centos repo from ASIA region... I saw similar "lighttpd" issue in this email thread as well but not sure same with my issue or not. We can't "$build pkgs " error as below.. ----Excerpt---- 16:52:40 b0: ===== Build SRPM for 'python-cephclient' ===== 16:52:40 b0: PKG_BASE=/localdisk/designer/swthadmin/starlingx/cgcs-root/stx/stx-integ/ceph/python-cephclient 16:52:40 b0: WORK_BASE=/localdisk/loadbuild/swthadmin/starlingx/std/inputs/stx/stx-integ/ceph/python-cephclient 16:52:40 b0: RPMBUILD_BASE=/localdisk/loadbuild/swthadmin/starlingx/std/inputs/stx/stx-integ/ceph/python-cephclient/rpmbuild 16:52:40 b0: Wrote: /localdisk/loadbuild/swthadmin/starlingx/std/rpmbuild/SOURCES/python-cephclient/srpm_input.md5 16:52:40 b0: SRPM build not required for '/localdisk/designer/swthadmin/starlingx/cgcs-root/stx/stx-integ/ceph/python-cephclient' 16:52:40 b0: ===== Build complete for 'python-cephclient' ===== 16:52:40 b0: *16:52:40 ============ Build failed =============* *16:52:40 b0: ERROR: build_dir (415): Invalid srpm path 'mirror:Source/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm', evaluated as '/localdisk/designer/swthadmin/starlingx/cgcs-root/cgcs-centos-repo/Source/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm', found in '/localdisk/designer/swthadmin/starlingx/cgcs-root/stx/stx-integ/base/lighttpd/centos/srpm_path'* *16:52:40 ERROR: reaper (1302): Failed to build src.rpm from source at 'b0'* *16:52:40 * ######## Thu Nov 1 16:52:40 UTC 2018: build-srpm-parallel --std failed with rc=1 Thu Nov 1 16:52:40 UTC 2018: build-srpm-parallel --std failed with rc=1 ----------end------------------- Any advice are welcome. -- Warmest Regards, Pongsawat P Sysware Technology (Thailand) On Fri, Nov 2, 2018 at 5:38 AM <starlingx-discuss-request@lists.starlingx.io> wrote:

Hi, Since yesterday it seems that the lighttpd version was upgraded in the upstream server. This means that your mirror is incomplete and that is why you are seeing that failure. From other thread in the mailing: I could find the src rpm with below repo (./centos-mirror-tools/yum.repos.d/StarlingX-EPEL-7.repo). Could you help double check it? [slin14@eb7345575ec1 cgcs-root]$ sudo -E yumdownloader -C --url --source lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7 https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/SRPMS/Packages/l/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.e... So, you can try the following: - Download the missing file manually - Update the cgcs-centos-repo symlinks. Just run generate-cgcs-centos-repo.sh <path/to/mirror> - Try to build again. We hope to fix this issue in the next days. -Erich From: Pongsawat Payungwong <pongsawat@sysware.asia> Date: Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:05 AM To: "starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io" <starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io> Cc: "Einarsson, Jim" <Jim.Einarsson@windriver.com> Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] Missing "Lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm" Package Re: Starlingx-discuss Digest, Vol 6, Issue 3 Hi Team, I would like to get some advice for mirror:Source/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm , We are from Thailand, Bangkok, trying to build starlingx ISO image on Supermicro Server, [4SSDx1TB, 256Gb Ram, 4x10GE], follow everything on document step but missing "lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src.rpm', , It download from mirror centos repo from ASIA region... Did you recheck the instructions versus what is actually configured on the computes? How many cpus do your computes have? Which build are you using? Did you build your own? When reboot-loop happens on a node often the error will be presented on the console during boot or could be inferred from console, sometimes referring to puppet logs of the node /var/log/puppet/ M On 2018-11-01 6:45 a.m., von Hoesslin, Volker wrote:

I believe Apmec is not an official OpenStack project (as listed in [0]), do you have plans to apply to become an official OpenStack project under TC governance? (Until then you do need to be careful about referring to Apmec as 'an OpenStack project', it is hosted by OpenStack, but is not (yet?) an OpenStack project.)
- no need to take care of the NFV functionalities. Since existing NFV MANO frameworks (Tacker, ONAP, OSM, OpenBaton,...) are diverse, integrating them can make StarlingX complicated. Apmec was designed to take over responsibility for integrating them since the delivery of MEC services is our critical mission.
Is this replacing existing StarlingX functionality?
- no need to take care of the life-cycle management of the MEC applications. Apmec offers API to help StarlingX perform this function. As mentioned earlier, Apmec is OpenStack project, therefore, to provide low-latency for MEC applications, Apmec is also planned to support acceleration technologies (e.g, integrated with OpenStack Cyborg) such as DPDK and FPGA.
Can you get more specific about what the integration with StarlingX looks like? dt [0] https://governance.openstack.org/tc/reference/projects/index.html -- Dean Troyer mailto:dtroyer@gmail.com ------------------------------ Message: 7 Date: Thu, 1 Nov 2018 22:38:40 +0000 From: "Alonso, Juan Carlos" <mailto:juan.carlos.alonso@intel.com> To: Michel Thebeau <mailto:michel.thebeau@windriver.com>, "von Hoesslin, Volker" <mailto:Volker.Hoesslin@swsn.de>, "'mailto:starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io'" <mailto:starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io> Subject: Re: [Starlingx-discuss] Compute boot-loop Message-ID: <mailto:8557B550001AFB46A43A0CCC314BF85153C592E1@FMSMSX108.amr.corp.intel.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Hi, I think you set up a Duplex system (two controllers), right? Hi,
Since yesterday it seems that the lighttpd version was upgraded in the upstream server. This means that your mirror is incomplete and that is why you are seeing that failure.
From other thread in the mailing: I could find the src rpm with below repo (./centos-mirror-tools/yum.repos.d/StarlingX-EPEL-7.repo). Could you help double check it?
[pspw] [image: image.png] [image: image.png]
[slin14@eb7345575ec1 cgcs-root]$ sudo -E yumdownloader -C --url --source lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7
https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/SRPMS/Packages/l/lighttpd-1.4.50-1.e...
So, you can try the following:
- Download the missing file manually - Update the cgcs-centos-repo symlinks. Just run generate-cgcs-centos-repo.sh <path/to/mirror> - Try to build again.
We hope to fix this issue in the next days.

+ Zhipeng We still have patches on lighttpd and it was rebased to 1.4.50 recently by Zhipeng. If the srpm upgraded to 1.4.51, Zhipeng can you please work w/ Erich and see if those patches need rework?
Thx. - cindy

Lighttpd was upgraded in upstream:
Package lighttpd-1.4.50-1.el7.src not found, available lighttpd-1.4.51-1.el7.src
We'll send a patch for master today. Should we backport this to r/2018.10 branch?

---------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, there, i have now built a complete stack and believe i did everything right. after unlocking the compute nodes (two pieces), the nodes come into an endless boot loop. Error messages are not really noticeable, except: compute-X 'ceilometer-polling' process has failed. Auto recovery in progress
any suggestions? Greez & thx, volker...
