[Starlingx-discuss] Cilium over Calico
Hi, I am wondering, if there is possibility of using Cilium CNI instead of Calico? According to this comparison https://itnext.io/benchmark-results-of-kubernetes-network-plugins-cni-over-1... ; Calico is still better in terms of performance/resource consumption. However, if we consider production-grade bare metal k8s cluster, Cilium offers: - better visibility/observation - encryption - and it seems like comparing to Calico, Cilium project seems to be more active. Thank you

Technically, I think it is doable. But for the time being, I guess there is no strong motivation to replace calico with cilium. -----Original Message----- From: bnovickovs@weecodelab.com <bnovickovs@weecodelab.com> Sent: Thursday, October 15, 2020 5:34 AM To: starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io Subject: Re: [Starlingx-discuss] Cilium over Calico On 2020-10-14 22:21, bnovickovs@weecodelab.com wrote:

There is new Cilium version which has VM support: https://cilium.io/blog/2020/11/10/cilium-19 On 2020-10-20 06:52, Wang, Yi C wrote:
