Re: [Starlingx-discuss] StarlingX VERSION - to - K8S VERSION(s) - to - OpenStack VERSION Mapping
Hi, Thank you all for looking into this. I’ve been trying to collect feedback as well in terms of preferences on placement for this information. So far what I’ve heard back was to rather to put the information in both places, as opposed to a clear preference. I think that the docs website is a more obvious and visible place for new users to find the matrix, and they are the primary target audience for it. We can always link that information from the wiki, which can help increase the docs website’s visibility overall. @Ron: Thank you for putting together a patch to add the matrix to the release notes. As for the wiki, you need to setup an account to be able to log in and edit the content of the StarlingX wiki pages. You can find more information about that here: https://docs.openstack.org/contributors/common/accounts.html Thanks, Ildikó ——— Ildikó Váncsa Director of Community Open Infrastructure Foundation

OK. Thanks Greg. I heard that we had decided on the wiki, but let’s see what it looks like in the release notes. I’ll put out a review.

Hey Ron, I actually had two options for where to put this information.
My vote would be to put it here: https://docs.starlingx.io/releasenotes/index.html I think this is a more formal place to put it. ( … and i think this is part of the pages we currently manage with the docs tesam)
Greg.

Hi Ildiko,
I understand that there is agreement to make this update – adding StarlingX <> OpenStack version info – to the wiki page linked below.
I don’t see instructions on how to edit that page and I could not find source in the site repo on github.
Can you clarify the workflow?

Related to that question / action from the StarlingX PTG last week, wrt a TABLE mapping StarlingX VERSION - to - K8S VERSION(s) - to - OpenStack VERSION .
Here’s the table. I am thinking we would put it here https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StarlingX/Releases or here https://docs.starlingx.io/releasenotes/index.html I.e. add a couple of columns to the existing table.
Let me know if anyone has feedback, Greg.
