[Starlingx-discuss] [DOCS] 'Extended Security Profile' removed from installer menu
The install menus were recently changed. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/1839134. Menus for installing from ISO are now; For BIOS First menu: Standard Controller Configuration or All-in-one Controller Configuration or All-in-one (lowlatency) Controller Configuration Second menu: Serial Console or Graphical Console For UEFI First menu: UEFI Standard Controller Configuration or UEFI All-in-one Controller Configuration or UEFI All-in-one (lowlatency) Controller Configuration Second menu: Serial Console or Graphical Console Thanks, Kristine
Kristine, thank you for the clarification. This raises a question for the community. When code is changed that impacts our Documentation, should the person making the change also change the documents? Or notify the Docs team to have them change it? Or assign the bug/story to the Docs team? Or create a new bug? Or ...? @Michael, as the Docs PL, do you have any guidance for us? brucej From: Bujold, Kristine [mailto:Kristine.Bujold@windriver.com] Sent: Thursday, September 5, 2019 8:28 AM To: starlingx <starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io> Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] [DOCS] 'Extended Security Profile' removed from installer menu The install menus were recently changed. Yes, thanks for this update. For these kinds of impacts to docs, our #1 preference is a direct contribution following the guideline at https://docs.starlingx.io/contributor/doc_contribute_guide.html. But we are flexible. If the impact is not fully understood or too complicated to implement, the next best path would be a launchpad.
