*This one seems to hit CENGN about once a week. Trying to create the docker build container and the yum command that installs most of the packages craps out as seen below. Rerun the command again and it works. Anyone else seeing this? Perhaps we need more retires and a longer timeout in our yum.conf? Or add some sort of retry to the yum command within the dockerfile? At this point the only *00:00:05.180* safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this: *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* 1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem. *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* 2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working *00:00:05.180* upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer *00:00:05.180* distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the *00:00:05.180* packages for the previous distribution release still work). *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* 3. Run the command with the repository temporarily disabled *00:00:05.180* yum --disablerepo=<repoid> ... *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* 4. Disable the repository permanently, so yum won't use it by default. Yum *00:00:05.180* will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it *00:00:05.180* again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage: *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* yum-config-manager --disable <repoid> *00:00:05.180* or *00:00:05.180* subscription-manager repos --disable=<repoid> *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* 5. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable. *00:00:05.180* Note that yum will try to contact the repo. when it runs most commands, *00:00:05.180* so will have to try and fail each time (and thus. yum will be be much *00:00:05.180* slower). If it is a very temporary problem though, this is often a nice *00:00:05.180* compromise: *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* yum-config-manager --save --setopt=<repoid>.skip_if_unavailable=true *00:00:05.180* *00:00:05.180* Cannot retrieve metalink for repository: epel/x86_64. Please verify its path and try again *00:00:05.180* [0mThe command '/bin/sh -c groupadd -g 751 cgts && echo "mock:x:751:root" >> /etc/group && echo "mockbuild:x:9001:" >> /etc/group && yum install -y epel-release && yum install -y anaconda anaconda-help anaconda-runtime autogen automake bc bind bind-utils cpanminus createrepo deltarpm expat-devel gcc gettext git libtool libxml2 libxml2-devel libxslt-devel libffi-devel lighttpd lighttpd-fastcgi lighttpd-mod_geoip libvirt-devel net-tools mkisofs mock mongodb mongodb-server mariadb-devel openldap-devel openssl-devel pax perl-CPAN python-deltarpm python-devel python-pep8 python-pip python-psutil python-subunit python-pip python-testrepository python-tox postgresql postgresql-devel qemu-kvm quilt rpm-build rpm-sign rpm-python sqlite-devel squashfs-tools sudo systemd syslinux udisks2 vim-enhanced wget yumdownloader' returned a non-zero code: 1 *00:00:05.497* Build step 'Execute shell' marked build as failure
