[Starlingx-discuss] questions about stx disks.
Dear sir: I just read the all-in-one bare metal installing guide "https://docs.starlingx.io/deploy_install_guides/r3_release/bare_metal/aio_si...", and also I have 3 questions. 1.) the "Primary disk" part says that we need 500G SDD, does that misspell with SSD? 2.) Can just a simple 500G HDD work? 3.) Now I just have one huge disk which is 5TB, can I install stx on that? Do I have to modify sth or Can I just do partition after installing the bootimage?
1) Looks like you found a typo in our docs, sorry about that. We’ll fix it. 2) Yes, HDD’s will work but SSD’s are faster. 3) The 500G is a recommended minimum. More is always better :) From: 周擎阳 [mailto:18245043314@163.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 21, 2020 7:26 AM To: starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] questions about stx disks.
