[Starlingx-discuss] Draft governance doc - further review...
My thanks to the folks who have reviewed and provided feedback on the draft governance document [0]. I believe I've addressed all of the feedback. I'd like to move the document off the etherpad soon and onto the wiki directly (and long term into stx-docs), so please take a look at the updated doc and confirm I've addressed your feedback. If you haven't looked at it yet, more feedback is always welcome. brucej [0] https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/stx-governance

Hi, As the initial draft was introduced on the mailing list only yesterday I agree to keep the review window open longer to give everyone a chance to digest and respond. As it is still somewhat vacation season and people are also in different time zones we need to be more conscious about time given to review items concerning the whole community. As governance is a crucial item we plan to have a discussion about it on the PTG face to face before we finalize it. I suggest to leave it open for reviews and discussion until the event and move to its final place soon after. For reviews one option is to keep it on the etherpad or move it to Gerrit and iterate over there so we can keep track of the history of the comments and changes. Which way would you prefer? Thanks and Best Regards, Ildikó

Thanks, I'm not trying to close debate or review at all. There's been a lot of good feedback and the document is becoming somewhat hard to read. If there's a way to post it to git/gerrit and still make it linkable from the wiki that would be perfect I think. -----Original Message----- From: Ildiko Vancsa [mailto:ildiko.vancsa@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, August 9, 2018 12:02 PM To: Rowsell, Brent <Brent.Rowsell@windriver.com>; Jones, Bruce E <bruce.e.jones@intel.com> Cc: starlingx-discuss@lists.starlingx.io Subject: Re: [Starlingx-discuss] Draft governance doc - further review... Hi Bruce, To mention one example the OpenStack Community has a separate governance repository: https://github.com/openstack/governance If we go down that route here and choose to create a governance repository for StarlingX than beyond storing documents that keep history of the TSC’s decisions we can store the document that describes the ‘Initial Governance’ there as well. We can then publish documents from this repository the same way as stx-docs to provide more visibility. What do you think? Thanks, Ildikó
