[Starlingx-discuss] Kubernetes 1.24.4 now supported as an optional version for fresh installs
Hi everyone, Earlier today https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/ansible-playbooks/+/858832 was merged into the load, which should enable the use of Kubernetes 1.24.4 for fresh installs. For now it will not be the default, so if you want to test it you'll have to add "kubernetes_version: 1.24.4" to your localhost.yml file during installation. It should be included in tonight's Debian build. Upgrades from K8s 1.23 are in the process of being tested. There will be at least one additional commit needed to support this, so don't waste time testing it just yet. :) Chris Friesen Containers TL
As a followup...it is expected that PersistentVolumeClaims will not work with K8s 1.24 until https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/platform-armada-app/+/858737 merges and we switch to using ceph-csi as the RBD provisioner. The platform-integ-apps application applies successfully, but applications actually *using* PVCs will not work. Chris Friesen On 10/25/2022 12:05 PM, Chris Friesen wrote:
