Hi folks,
For the interest of any who are building images, we've migrated from pike/master naming to stable/dev build streams. This should help clarify the builds, as there has been some confusion here or there due to the pike/master naming convention.
Build stream definitions:
* stable: The "stable" build stream is analogous to the previous "pike" image builds. This build uses an stx-centos base image that is configured to have yum repo access to the StarlingX build output for RPM installation. In addition, once Stein is released, we'll setup stable image builds for the Openstack services that point to stable/stein branches.
* dev: The "dev" build stream is analogous to the previous "master" image builds, and reflects that these images are generally "bleeding edge" images.
The build wiki has been updated to reflect these changes:
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StarlingX/Containers/BuildingImages
As per the email from Scott earlier this afternoon, CENGN has been updated to build the stable and dev images. The sysinv and chart default image tags have been updated to point to the new master-centos-dev-latest ($BRANCH-$OS-$BUILD_STREAM-$VERSION) tag with the following review:
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/648756/
The earlier pike and master build config files will be removed in the next week or two.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Cheers,
Don.
