- Overall the status is acceptable with some highlighted risks:

- Release Test Status
- No concerns raised from the test team regarding the release test plans
- Currently working on feature test plans
- Feature Testing: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jro4ItdSobB0-fseK_4cOZJHhUyuh_eCBBsDOp_A5Pc/edit#gid=968103774
- Test Automation Deliverables: focusing on test automation in January before regression starts
- Regression to start in early Feb
- From Bill: New features/specs potentially being proposed for this release - working to assign primes so we can start working on the specs
- Intel Ice-Lake CPU Support
- Intel Mt. Bryce eASIC / Pomona Lake Support
- Intel Columbiaville NIC Support
- Shared Single NIC Support
- PTP Notification Enhancements
- Nvidia T4 GPU Support
- Note: Specs (if required) will be targeted for mid-Jan; don't expect all to require specs as some are mostly test activities. Code merge target close to the current MS-3 date w/ minor exceptions.
- Reviewed with release team - no current concerns; features can proceed; release team will monitor status over the next few weeks to determine any potential risk to the overall stx.5.0 release
- OS Direction given CentOS8 announcement
- StarlingX has about a year to implement an alternative as CentOS8 will be EOL on Dec 31/2021. CentOS7 will be EOL on Dec 31/2024.
- Next step is to focus on discussing/evaluating the technical options
- Note: Multi-OS work to date has shown that swapping out the OS is a challenging task
