Hi Saul:
Some more details info:
1) StarlingX currently is using Ceph Mimic Release (13.2.2), which was not active release from Ceph community [1].
2) CentOS community only officially provides Ceph Nautilus (14.xx) and Octopus (15.xx) RPMs for centos8 [2].
Based on these information , either find 3rd party provides ceph M release rpms for centos8 , or build from src/srpm is needed for centos 8

Thanks.

Austin Sun.

Subject: Ceph & CentOS-8 / Python3 work
Austin, Haochuan, Fuyong:
You guys mentioned there was an issue with Ceph, possibly the CephClient with moving from Python2 to Python3. Can you provide more details about what the issues where with CentOS-8 and/or python3?
Thanks
Sau!
