Hi StarlingX Community,

The second election season is starting in just a month from now. This email contains important information about the elections, please read carefully.

For all the details on the elections please visit: https://docs.starlingx.io/election/

The nomination period officially begins on __October 6, 2020, 20:45 UTC__.

Please read the stipulations and timelines for candidates and electorate contained in the above governance documentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: as we started this practice a year ago if you would like to run for any open position you need to register as an OpenStack Foundation Individual Member prior to when the nomination period starts.

Also please note that you are required to confirm your preferred email address in Gerrit by __September 20, 2020 00:00 UTC__ as described here: https://docs.starlingx.io/election/#electorate to make sure ballots are sent out to the correct addresses.

As decided by the TSC group and the election officials the 2020, H2 PL/TL and TSC elections will run concurrently; deadlines for their nomination and voting activities are synchronized but will still use separate ballots.

Please note, if only one candidate is nominated as PL or TL for a project team during the PL/TL nomination period, that candidate will win by acclaim, and there will be no poll. There will only be a poll if there is more than one candidate stepping forward for a project team's PL or TL position.

There will be further announcements posted to the mailing list as action is required from the electorate or candidates. This email is for information purposes only.

If you have any questions which you feel affect others please reply to this email thread.

If you have any questions that you which to discuss in private please email any of the election officials[1] so that we may address your concerns.

Thank you,
