Hi StarlingX Community,

As we have a few open positions that we couldn’t fill during the regular election cycle that has just concluded, we are holding an interim election that is starting in less than 2 weeks from now.

This email contains important information about the elections, please read carefully.

For all the details on the elections please visit: https://docs.starlingx.io/election/

We are electing the following roles during this round:
* @ TSC seats for a half-year term
* Distro project PL and TL
* Test project PL and TL

The nomination period officially begins on __November 16, 2021, 20:45 UTC__.

Please read the stipulations and timelines for candidates and electorate contained in the above governance documentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: per our standard practice, if you would like to run for any open position you need to register as an Open Infrastructure Foundation Individual Member[1] prior to when the nomination period starts.

Similarly to the regular election process the interim PL/TL and TSC elections will run concurrently; deadlines for their nomination and voting activities are synchronized but will still use separate ballots.

Please note, if only one candidate is nominated as PL or TL for a project team during the PL/TL nomination period, that candidate will win by acclaim, and there will be no poll. There will only be a poll if there is more than one candidate stepping forward for a project team's PL or TL position.

There will be further announcements posted to the mailing list to kick off the elections. This email is for information purposes only.

If you have any questions which you feel affect others please reply to this email thread.

If you have any questions that you which to discuss in private please email any of the election officials[2] so that we may address your concerns.

Thank you,
