1. OS Distro
Debian Migration
* Debian patches
* bringing patches from CentOS
* Yue has been communicated with Bob on which one to bring over
* Good progress has been made in package front
* 25 reviews for packages
* Focus Priority 1 and 2 packages, roughly 20 packages
* in compile, kernel, package repos
* starting later of this week, Davlet + Scott focus on Kernel repo's patche, and Bob to focus on packages repo's patches
* Build system
* multiple builds caused build system to freeze
* currently investigating
* will hopefully find the solution before China goes on week holiday
* Need to get the multiple builds causing the build system freeze reproduced
* AI#1: asking the Bai, Haiqing [done] <Haiqing.Bai at windriver.com> to reproduce it before the holiday
* If there are issues/tasks that needs to be tracked, please add tasks to the story board here: https://storyboard.openstack.org/#!/story/2008846
* AI#2: Ask ZhenXiao to update the tasks with latest info.[done]
* Would like to see a couple more patches/pkgs posted.
* AI#3: check to see if these can be posted before they go on vacation:
* stx-root: Submit the code of package building script in builder
* stx-root: Submit the code of image building script to upstream
* stx-tool: Submit the initial Debian bullseye packages list in stx-tools
* manifest: Submit the layer manifest xml for Debian STX.
* Go ahead and start making changes in build systems, and don't wait for the above patches to be posted for review.
5.10 Kernel
* https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/metal/+/811552: please post the patche for reivew/integration
* CMA issues: https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/kernel/+/809116
* issues were there in 3.10, but there was no system logging about the problems. so no one notices
* in 5.10, it is now better reporting in the logs.
* AI#4 need to follow up to make sure we get better reporting.
