* what about Python 3? CentOS 7 supports Python 2 & 3, so conceivably we could do a slower migration there, but would have to ultimately get everything on Python 3 eventually (say on a separate branch)

* regarding planning implications, we'll plan to discuss during the next Release Team meeting (next Wednesday), though CentOS 8 is not formally in stx.5.0 release yet at this point
