Subject: [Starlingx-discuss] [Release] October Release Prep Kick-Off Meeting -- Call for participants
Hello all,
I am looking to schedule a one hour meeting sometime next week (prior to the PTG) to discuss prep items for the starlingx October release.
For this meeting, I would like to have representatives from the build, docs, test and releases team. I would also like for Dean, Saul and Brent to attend if they can spare the time. Of course, all are welcome to participate.
Note: Release content/priorities will not be discussed in this meeting; only mechanics and delivery mechanism.
If you are interested in participating, please let me know and indicate your time preference.
Time Options:
- Tuesday Sept 4 3:00pm Eastern
- Wednesday Sept 5 4:00pm / 5:00pm / 6:00pm Eastern >> we can do an evening meeting if that works for everyone
- Thursday Sept 6 2:00pm Eastern
- Friday Sept 7 9:00am Eastern
Proposed Agenda: (I will create an etherpad and post the agenda)
- Align on release deliverables
o We have something related to this documented on the wiki already: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/StarlingX/Release_Plan#Release_Definition
o Anything else to add/update ...any implications related to
- Mechanics for creating the release branch/tags
- Test activities/plan once release branch is created
- Bug Management
o Use Bug template
o Guideline: Always source in master first
o Criteria for which bugs gate the release and require a cherry-pick to the release branch. Who is responsible for cherry-picking?
- Documentation
o Content to include:
? Release Notes
* High level list of features
*         Limitations/Caveats
? Standard Documentation - Developer Guide / API / others
o Format
? I believe doc team have a plan for this already
Regards,
Ghada
