Minutes from the community call
July 6 2022
Standing Topics
- Build
- CentOS builds
- One build issue due to a recent code submission (expat CVE fix): https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/1980838
- This is only affecting the monolithic installer build.
- We are still getting successful layered builds in CENGN.
- Developers can still do monolithic builds if they don't build the installer.
- Debian builds
- Not affected by the above expat issue. Had 4 successful builds.
- New upstream Debian release (11.4) is being released
- Build & OS team are working to ensure stx stays on 11.3
- Reviews in progress:
- https://review.opendev.org/c/starlingx/root/+/844816
- Bob Church is suggesting we get a developer build w/ those reviews before they merge.
Sanity
- WR sanity setup is progressing well. Was able to install the stx load on a DX lab.
- Expect to have a sanity report out this week - by July 8
- Note: The sanity suite is based on WR sanity suite, not the original sanity suite run by Intel. Hit technical issues running the original Intel suite.
- Next week the goal is to try to run w/ stx-openstack pending fixes for:
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/starlingx/+bug/1980397
